PRACTICAL INFORMATION

What to know before reserving a weekly place.

Short, plain-language information for GCSE and IGCSE participants and their parents or guardians.

Weekly room and payment

Each live online Maths Investigation Room lasts 50 minutes and costs £25. Payment is made weekly in advance through Stripe. The recurring payment reserves the same weekly place until the membership is cancelled.

Joining the room

After registration and payment, the parent or participant receives the private Zoom access information by email. Please contact Iulia if it has not arrived or if the link does not work. Access details must not be shared outside the registered household.

Missed sessions and advance notice

If a participant misses their reserved weekly session, the payment is not normally refunded or transferred. However, if Iulia receives at least seven calendar days’ written notice before the session, the upcoming weekly payment may be paused where possible, or one session credit will be applied if payment has already been processed. The credit is used for the next payable scheduled room week and is not a cash refund. Less than seven days’ notice, or no notice, does not qualify. Rooms are live and are not recorded.

Stopping the weekly membership

The membership can be cancelled before the next weekly payment. Cancellation stops future payments but does not refund a session that has already been supplied or reserved. If help is needed, contact Iulia before the next payment is due.

If Iulia cancels

If Iulia cancels a scheduled room, the payment for that session will be refunded. A replacement session is not guaranteed.

Christmas, Easter and half-terms

Rooms and recurring payments pause during the published Christmas and Easter breaks, while the regular weekly place remains protected. Rooms continue during school half-terms. The relevant dates will be communicated in advance.

Participation and safeguarding

Participants are expected to communicate respectfully and use the room in a way that protects everyone’s learning. A parent or guardian remains responsible for providing appropriate supervision, equipment and a safe online environment for a participant under 18. Iulia is Enhanced DBS checked.

Parent Service Agreement

The fuller service terms, safeguarding statement and privacy information are available on the Parent Service Agreement page. No handwritten signature is required; agreement is confirmed actively during registration before payment.
